This particular brocade skirt came into being when my love for minimalism amalgamated with my love for pops of colour. I love this skirt because it can be quite confusing initially, exactly like how I am. But you get used to it eventually. Do a double back and the illusion makes way for clarity. Styling this skirt can be a joy in itself.
This skirt can be styled in various ways. If your love for monochrome prevails, style this beautiful brocade skirt like how a fellow blogger cum friend, Ridhi Sharma did.
She wore a long black top on top of the skirt and belted it up. The look is fairly monochrome with just a wee bit of green peeping out from underneath.
Or if you are someone who enjoys an unusual colour combination, pair it up with any solid coloured top, and voila! A perfect colour blocked outfit, thanks to the half and half black and green design.
Or if you are someone like me, who has a badass side to her otherwise angelic (cough cough..) self, pair this skirt with a super smart black leather jacket and black boots. The green of the skirt would have all eyes on you, especially because of the gorgeous motif design of the brocade fabric; trust me, it has happened. Finish the look with a gorgeous pair of earrings and a black bindi for a fusion look. Or not. It’s absolutely up to you.
And yes, whoever says ethnic outfits can’t be paired with sneakers, they haven’t seen how Trija styled this skirt of ours.
